Welcome to the Houston Family Foundation

Our continuing mission is to provide encouragement and tools for the great adventure of parenting. We serve Christ-centered parents of children ages 0-18 in and around the Houston Metropolitan Area.

What do we do?

• Provide parenting information in symposia and small groups
• Impart knowledge and skills, inspiration and encouragement

How do we define results?

• Short-term: evaluation feedback at events; annual focus group
• Medium-term: better parenting skills, shared learning
• Long-term: children who become strong, virtuous adults

What is our Plan?
Short-term:

• Two symposia a year, one during the Spring and one during the Fall; family picnic and couples night out
• Choose curricula for small groups; form first demonstration model

Longer-term:

• Form interest groups, ex. parents of teens, preschool moms, infants' mothers, to meet regularly for peer learning
• Develop a "toolbox" of parenting resources, including books, websites, magazines, videos, and tapes
